Author Biography

Missy Tarantino is a retired teacher and author of the Granny Appleton Cozy Mystery series. Her standalone YA book, Free as a Bird, is an Amazon Best-Seller in the Orphan and Foster Care categories. She lives in northwest Missouri where she loves to take long walks and reads voraciously. She has written in several genres, but her favorite is cozy mystery. HOWEVER, she did not enjoy the idea of writing about murder, so her 67 year old protagonist, Granny Appleton, solves other types of crime instead. Granny is funny, quirky, and nosy. There are elements of the character that Missy sees in herself.
